The year 2014 was a consolidation of community empowerment, networking and CSO strengthening. It was characterised by several actions spearheaded by local associations located in different parts of the country. The operating environment for civil society continued to narrow down as the network recorded a few incidences of Government unfair interference with the work of member organisations. During the year, more energy was devoted to original mandate actions and consolidation of work started in 2012 and 2013. Two core mandates of DENIVA are to facilitate information sharing and enhance the capacity of members.
