Magelah Peter Gwayaka

Executive Director. 
 
Peter joins us with over 20 years of service in the CSO sector, 8 of which has been at the Chapter Four Uganda as the Acting Executive Director and Programs Manager.

Peter comes with exceptional leadership and solid experience in Civil Society Organizations operating environment in Uganda and with great wealth of knowledge and expertise in organizational development, civil society strengthening, public policy engagement and partnership management

 

We are confident that with Peter’s able leadership DENIVA will be propelled to greater heights in delivering its mandate.

Fredrick Olinga

Mr. Fredrick Olinga is the Coordinator, Civil Society Organizations Strengthening and
Membership Engagement at Development Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations
(DENIVA). He is a community development expert with more than seven years strengthening the capacity of civil society Organizations in Uganda.
He has supported capacity building intervention of more than 150 Civil Society Organizations in
Uganda. His work has also extended to other countries in Eastern Africa. For the past five years,
Fredrick has spearheaded Quality Assurance Certification Mechanisms (QuAM) in Uganda as
the National QuAM Coordinator.

Susan Sekasi

Manager, Finance and Administration.
Susan joined DENIVA in August 2017 and is currently the Manager Finance and Administration who is responsible for managing the financial and administrative function of the Organisation.
Prior to joining DENIVA, Susan worked with Norvik Hospital as the Accountant and before that, worked with Directorate For Information Communications Technology Support, Makerere University as the Finance and Administrative Officer.
Susan holds an MBA in Financial Management from Makerere University. She also holds a certificate in Certified Public Accountants (Kenya) Part 11 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Accounting from Kyambogo University.

Monica Abere

Finance Officer

Abere Monica is a Finance Support Officer here at DENIVA who enjoys using her various skills, knowledge and abilities to contribute to the exciting CSO strengthening initiatives that happen every day at DENIVA. She believes that we have to be the change we wish to see in the world, and having recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce majoring in Finance, she is excited that her position as Finance Support Officer provides the perfect opportunity for her to be part of the change makers in the Civil Society while also practicing in a career field she is very passionate about.

Alberto Twinomujuni

Alberto is the Communications and Advocacy plus the Quality Assurance Certification Mechanism (QuAM) Officer  here at DENIVA secretariat. He joined DENIVA in April 2022 .  Alberto holds a bachelors degree of Science in Statistics of Kyambogo University, a Certificate in Data Analysis and Data Entry of Uganda Institute and Banking and Financial Services, among other trainings and qualifications around the Civil Society. Alberto has got extensive training and skills in communications and the civic space at large and he is very passionate about everything he does.

Winnie Muwanguzi Nabwowe

Democracy, Human Rights and Governance Officer

Winnie Muwanguzi is the Democracy, Human Rights and Governance Officer, she is a graduate of Development Studies from Uganda Christian University (UCU) and holds a post graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI).  She comes with 8 years of experience in Governance, Democracy and Human Rights; knowledge in Program management, organizational strengthening, community development and budget advocacy. She is a human rights activist, passionate about advocating for the rights of the vulnerable especially the women and children. Her work in the NGO sector has contributed to creating empowered communities by ensuring that the people have the confidence, skills and capacity to advocate for and demand quality services from the duty bearers.

Charles Batesa

Security Officer

Charles serves as a security officer and DENIVA who also doubles as a cleaner outside the office. He has an experience of 36 years in security after working for various organizations. He served in National Resistance Army from 1986 to 1992. Worked with American Embassy and British Airways under Alarm Protection Services.

Arinda Brian

Office Attendant/Janitor

Brian works with DENIVA as Office Attendant/Messenger/Cleaner.
Brian attained a Uganda Certificate of Education and has over 4 years experience in office cleaning services.
